The Candy Store in Newport is a popular hangout for sailors. The Candy Store Cup is a pursuit style 40 mile big-boat race that starts and finishes in historic Newport Harbor. Proceeds from the $5000 entry fees are split between non-profits Sail Newport and charities such as the Wounded Warrior Project. The winning crew gets free drinks for a year at the Candy Store. Gary Jobson takes us on-board the 2009 running of the Cup.
